AIMS AND SCOPE

Hermeneia: Journal of Hermeneutics, Art Theory and Criticism is a philosophical, international peer-reviewed journal. We publish original articles from the areas of hermeneutics, art theory, and art criticism. Articles in other fields (practical philosophy, moral, political, and legal philosophy) are also welcome if they can be justified as philosophical interpretations, as are book reviews and philosophical debates.

Each issue contains original research articles on a specific philosophical topic. The journal has two sections, the former on a specific topic (early announced in the call for papers) and the latter as Varia section, as well as a Book Reviews section.

We accept submissions in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish.

Hermeneia: Journal of Hermeneutics, Art Theory and Criticism appears in print (ISSN: 1453-9047), but also online (eISSN: 2069-8291), as an open access journal.
